trayvon martin case

Mind better than I have discussed the tragedy Trayvon Martin and a better writer than I described above. It seems to be a slight increase.

But I'm writing because I know the Trayvon case is not unique. There Trayvons much.

During my seminary years, I spent ten weeks of summer of Clinical Pastoral Education do in a city hospital. I have common ground and my department "parish" and every night the sixth and final day of the sixth week, all mine to hospital cover. During that time I never had a night that have not noticed my guard room to get to the Trauma Unit for cooking. Larcenia, a young black sitting on the staircase to find cooler air at the place of the house, is an exception, he is the victim of a shooting unreasonable and never walked again, I never felt in any form of the half-down. Larcenia is 14.

 

But as I said, was the exception. Because most of the time, is a young man who shot black. Sometimes an act of revenge, sometimes there are photos of some of the players. And sometimes at random, taking pictures of the brain. Maybe for sports.

An evening sacrifice was a young black named John. He was seventeen years old. He lives, thank God, but not without compromising the quality of life. It was unexpected to me that this woman, and probably many, many other African-American mother and grandmother lived in the hope that their children and grandchildren will be shot. I can not wrap my mind around it - and I later learned that this is due to white privilege.
